Throughout life there are people who cross our path; who touch our core being on a level so profound we are never the same again. Our time here on Earth is a short but powerful journey. By the time we lay our head for the final rest, we can count on one hand the people who have made the greatest impact on us; the people who touch us so deeply the leave an impression on out soul. Denise is one of these people.
During the most trying struggle of my life she stood as a beacon, guiding me to my fullest potential. She showed me integrity, and gave me hope that the impossible was much easier to grasp than I had ever thought. For that she will always be remembered.
As I told Denise in life so I will tell her in death: I make a solid oath to do whatever I can to help with Alexis.
The Norse had a very powerful look on death. These stanzas are from the Havamal.
Cattle die, kinsmen die,
the self must also die;
but glory never dies,
for the man who is able to achieve it.
Cattle die, kinsmen die,
the self must also die;
I know one thing that never dies:
The reputation of each dead man.
